Biography:

Jesse C. Johnson is Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of Peace Studies at the University of Kentucky. He received his Ph.D. in political science from Rice University in May 2012. His research and teaching interests are in the areas of international security, international institutions, and conflict processes. Much of his current work focuses on the design and influence of military alliances in international relations. His research appears in the Journal of Politics, International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Peace Research, Conflict Management and Peace Science, International Interactions, and Foreign Policy Analysis.

Jesse teaches undergraduate courses on world politics and international security as well as graduate seminars on international relations.
