Peace Corps is coming to UK During National Peace Corps Week. On Wednesday, March 4th at 4:00pm, Peace Corps recruiter Carlos Jean Baptiste will be in room #202 of the Stuckert Career Center, located at 408 Rose Street.
Along with Carlos, a panel of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) will briefly share about their Peace Corps experience and will happily answer questions from attendees. RPCV panelists include:
- Jessica Byassee - RPCV Tanzania
- Spencer Cruse - RPCV Uganda
- Rona Roberts - RPCV Phillipines
- Angene Wilson - RPCV Liberia
Craig Borie, RPCV Nicaragua will also be at the event to share about UK’s new Peace Corps Prep program. Peace Corps Prep is a certificate program developed for undergraduates that prepares students for international development field work, careers in international service and Peace Corps service. The program gives you a competitive edge when applying for Peace Corps service by providing a framework for participants to build sector specific skills, foreign language competency, intercultural competence and professional savvy and leadership.
